Description:
This material consists of angular crushed rock pieces up to ¾ inch in size, blended with smaller particles and fines. The mix of coarse and fine material allows for excellent compaction, making it one of the most widely used base materials in construction and landscaping. Its color is typically tan/gray with a natural stone look.
 

Ideal For:

  • Base layer for driveways, roads, and parking areas

  • Underlayment for patios, pavers, and concrete slabs

  • Foundation material for retaining walls

  • General construction backfill and compaction

  • Erosion control and grading projects
     

Material Composition:

  • Crushed aggregate rock with mineral fines

  • Typically granite, basalt, or limestone depending on quarry source

  • Angular particles lock together for strength and stability
